     About Knit Picks USA

Bob and Kelley Petkun started Knit Picks in 2002 to connect knitters with a wide selection of yarn, Knitting books, needles and accessories at great prices. In 2005, they began designing needles that would combine all the best features of all the different brands of needles currently on the market to create one perfect needle with the help of Indeutsch International. After experimenting with several prototypes and testing these models with focus groups of other knitters, they began selling the Options Interchangeable systems and fixed circulars in 2006. Following the success of the Options needles, they expanded their needle line in 2007 to include the beautiful laminated wood Harmony needles as well as double pointed needles.

Today, over 50,000 knitters in North America use Knit Picks Options and Harmony needles. Because they have received requests from potential customers located outside of North America for these products, Knit Picks is now offering them to dealers outside the USA and Canada.

KnitPicks and KnitPicks.com are a division of the Crafts Americana Group, Inc. which is privately owned by Bob and Kelley Petkun.
